The CJ Cup: Pro Golf Weekly’s primer

Asian golf has taken off in the men’s game, and South Korea has decided to finally get in on the action. Already known as a power on the LPGA circuit, the nation is taking an even bigger step as host of the The CJ Cup at Nine Bridges.

Hosted by The Club at Nine Bridges on Jeju Island, south of the Korean peninsula, the event offers an impressive $9.25 million purse to its 78-man field that includes reigning FedExCup champion Justin Thomas, Jason Day, Adam Scott and 17 Korean pros trying to jump-start the event with a homegrown winner.
