Travelers Championship: Pro Golf Weekly’s primer

The Travelers Championship returns to its usual slot following the U.S. Open, after a one-year hiatus to help make scheduling room for the Olympics. Jim Furyk probably wouldn’t mind if it had stayed in the new slot, leaving with the PGA Tour’s historic first 58 in the final round.

World No.3 Rory McIlroy and No.4 Jason Day, both of whom experienced an early exit from Erin Hills, tee it up in hopes of a bounceback. In all, more than 40 players arrive in Hartford on the heels of their performance at Erin Hills. Russell Knox is the defending champion.
